New Balance Presents This Year’s 1000 Sneaker In Reflective “Silver Metallic” Colorway
Continuing the millennium-debuted re-release.

Celebrating the silhouette’s 25th anniversary, New Balance continues its reissue series of the coveted 1000 sneaker.
First launched in 1999, the brand aimed to take an experimental approach to footwear with the 1000. Playing with shape, material composition, color combinations, and technology, it marked the boundless opportunities associated with the new millennium.
While the sneaker’s future-facing design captured the essence of the era, this year, New Balance embraces its legacy on the milestone, reviving the model through a contemporary lens and reimagining it for a new audience. With an initial relaunch campaign, shot by iconic photographer Ewen Spencer, announcing UK artist Dave as brand ambassador before a Joe Freshgoods as well as Aimé Leon Dore collaborations respectively — the 1000 has become 2024’s sneaker highlight.
This drop, however, sees the silhouette reworked in polished hues. Dressed in a reflective “Silver Metallic” colorway honoring its futuristic legacy, its rounded edges and sleek lines sit atop its signature sculpted midsole. With the sneaker’s “Rain Cloud” muted gray tones complementing the metallic accents across the upper, the lateral “N” emblems and embroidered 1000 branding on the toes round off the silhouette’s contemporary design built for everyday wear.
