Doxa Returns with a New Clive Cussler Special Edition Timepiece
Starring a blackened Sharkhunter dial.
On the occasion of Clive Cussler’s 93rd birthday, DOXA returns with a new iteration of the SUB 300T to pay homage to a well-regarded maritime explorer.
Last May, the watchmaker presented a SUB 300T Clive Cussler special edition timepiece starring a weathered look and a compass-like dial. The newly-iterated reference is in line with last year’s model, sporting a 42.5mm stainless steel build and beads-of-rice bracelet in aged patina. While the preceding model stars a golden yellow dial, the new special timepiece spotlights a blackened Sharkhunter dial.
At the core of the timepiece beats a Swiss-made mechanical and automatic movement, powering the reference with 38 hours of continuous running time and beating at a frequency of 28,800 hourly vibrations. Capable of withstanding 30 ATM underwater, the watch is also provided with an additional FKM rubber strap in black.
Its caseback comes engraved with the names of numerous historical artifacts and shipwrecks excavated by NUMA, a non-profit organization founded by Cussler. The SUB 300T Sharkhunter Clive Cussler edition retails for $3,250 USD and is available through DOXA’s online shop.
