Louis Vuitton Reveals "Ocean BLVD" Colognes Collection With Alex Israel
The five colognes are displayed in a miniature Los Angeles street.
Louis Vuitton has revealed its latest cologne perfumes collection with the help of multimedia artist Alex Israel. The collection of five colognes is displayed in a miniature fictional Los Angeles street, “Ocean BLVD” designed by Israel. The model displays each cologne in a different building named and modeled after it, each paying tribute to Los Angeles and Louis Vuitton’s history in the design.
The miniature city was painstakingly hand-crafted in Louis Vuitton fashion and used only the finest materials like Taurillon leather, Taiga leather and natural beige leather to craft the landscape. With the help of 20 artisans, the two-meter-long sculpture was constructed in over 500 hours.
The boulevard starts with the Pacific Chill spa which mirrors the bottle’s blue-green design with blue windows and a green overhang. The spa, chosen to emulate the herbal fragrance that intends to calm the wearer, bears a facade of white cowhide embossed with the classic LV monogram pattern.
The On The Beach perfume receives a surf shop to match the beach-themed scent and a blue-orange gradient exterior to match the bottle. Next, the City of Stars scent gets a 50s-inspired cinema in the middle of the boulevard to embody the fruity cologne’s bold energy and add some flair to the model’s skyline.
An all-pink California Dream restaurant follows with a lavish facade fit for Los Angeles’ iconic Rodeo Drive and holds the accompanying vanilla scent. The street closes with a beach lifeguard station fit for Malibu holding the citrus Afternoon Sun cologne.
The “Ocean BLVD” colognes are available from July 31 by special order and the price is available on request.
