The rapper’s fifth studio album drops next week.
JPEGMAFIA has officially confirmed the details of his next studio project – well, some of them. After unleashing his first run of new music since SCARING THE HOES – “don’t rely on other men” and, most recently, “SIN MIEDO” – the rapper has announced the title and rough release date for his next studio LP.
Surfacing as his fifth studio album, Peggy’s imminent LP is entitled I LAY DOWN MY LIFE FOR YOU – which tracks, as Peggy is set to embark on his extensive LAY DOWN MY LIFE tour come August. He dropped off a first look at the project, releasing its two-minute trailer in tandem with the announcement.
Leaning into a spiritual and dream-like tone, the I LAY DOWN MY LIFE FOR YOU trailer previews a new Peggy song, likely set to appear on the LP. Stream it in the gallery above.
“my 5th album, I LAY DOWN MY LIFE FOR YOU is out next week. This is the trailer. thank u 4 waiting!” he wrote in the Instagram post.
While a specific release date next week has yet to be announced, expect I LAY DOWN MY LIFE FOR YOU to drop everywhere at some point next week – presumably on Friday, August 9.
