BLACKPINK's LISA Is the Newest Louis Vuitton Ambassador
Joining stars like J-Hope, Sophie Turner, Zendaya and more ambassadors.
BLACKPINK‘s own LISA has officially been named a Louis Vuitton brand ambassador. Speculation of the K-pop star’s involvement with the brand began when she attend the French luxury house’s most recent Fall 2024 RTW show in March. While that was the case, her presence at the show was not unexpected due to her relationship with Frédéric Arnault, who has recently been appointed the CEO of LVMH Watches.
LISA has had a long standing relationship with LVMH. In 2020, she was a brand ambassador for Celine and even walked in the brand’s summer 2022 show in Nice, France. The Thai superstar solidifies her standing as a solo-artist with this ambassadorship, following in the footsteps of her other band members. Her other bandmates also have solo ambassadorships, with Jennie being Chanel’s, Jisoo a Dior ambassador and Rosé a Saint Laurent ambassador.
All the members have been working on their solo careers at the moment with LISA forming her own management company called Lloud Co. She recently debuted her new single “Rockstar” and the song debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard Global 200 chart. It was her third top-10 hit following her 2021 singles “Lalisa” and “Money.” She is also slated to star on the HBO series The White Lotus for their third season, which is set in her home country of Thailand. In a statement about her newest ambassadorship LISA said, “Nicolas Ghesquière’s identity is strongly reflected in the designs that he creates and that is what makes Louis Vuitton pieces so special. I’m very excited to see how his ideas come to life.” Creative director Nicolas Ghesquière said of LISA joining the house, “I am very excited to welcome Lisa as a house ambassador. She has a daring spirit and charisma that I find incredibly compelling. She is as bold and creative with her music as she is with her fashion, and it is a privilege to accompany her on this journey.”
LISA is in great company in regards to the house’s brand ambassadors. She joins a long list of stable female ambassadors including Zendaya, Emma Stone, Sophie Turner, Ho-Yeon, Ana de Armas, Deepika Padukone and more. BTS’ J-Hope as well as Stray Kids’ Felix and Hyein from NewJeans are also all Louis Vuitton ambassadors. Watch the official announcement video below.
