The Weeknd Becomes Third Artist in History To Earn Seven RIAA Diamond Certifications
He’s also the first Canadian artist ever to achieve this feat.

The Weeknd officially makes history as he now holds a total of seven Diamond certifications from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
The XO Records head was awarded with two new Diamond plaques for “Save Your Tears” from After Hours and “Die For You” from Starboy. He is now the first Canadian artist to ever score seven RIAA Diamond certifications and only the third overall artist in history.
In addition, The Weeknd also received Platinum certifications for “Popular” with Madonna and Playboi Carti and “One of the Girls” with JENNIE and Lily-Rose Depp; the former gives Madonna her first platinum single since “4 Minutes” since 2008, while the latter makes JENNIE the first female K-Pop soloist to earn a Platinum plaque from the RIAA and gives Depp her first Platinum certification.
