Post Malone and Blake Shelton Team up for Country Anthem "Pour Me A Drink"
“When it’s up on a Friday and I’m paid, slide one over my way.”
Update: The official music video for Post Malone and Blake Shelton’s “Pour Me A Drink” is here. Helmed by the former’s previous collaborator Chris Villa, the visual sees Posty purchasing a drink at Shelton’s convenience store, only for the latter to redirect him to a Bud Light-branded “secret room” that leads to a house party.
Original: Post Malone is fully in his country era as he enlists genre vet Blake Shelton for his his newest single “Pour Me A Drink.”
Clocking in at a little over three minutes, the easy-going anthem hears the pair talk enjoying a drink despite the circumstance — regardless if it’s because of the Dallas Mavericks losing a game in overtime, getting a speeding ticket and losing or finding love. “When it’s up on a Friday and I’m paid, slide one over my way,” the duo sings in the chorus, echoing sentiments that many share after the end of a long working week.
Posty is set to release his upcoming sixth studio album F-1 Trillion on August 16, previously announcing it via a massive billboard located in Nashville, Tennessee. Prior to “Pour Me A Drink,” he linked up with another country star, Morgan Wallen, for “I Had Some Help.”
