Omar Apollo has released his new album, God Said No.

The work marks Apollo’s sophomore studio album – coming after Ivory, which was released in April of 2022.  Clocking in at 45 minutes with 14 songs total, the project only sees one feature that enlists Mustafa for the fifth track, “Plane Tress.” Even though the album is pop by nature, the Hobart, Indiana native traverses the sounds of R&B, indie pop and funk, which lean into the artist’s eclectic music influences and style.

The album offers a look into the blended experiences and feelings of Apollo as it explores themes of love, identity, personal growth and self-acceptance. To do so, Apollo maneuvers between energetic melodies to personal ballads to liven the story.

Before the album’s release, the artist announced his accompanying “God Said No” Tour, which is set to include 33 shows across the globe. The tour will begin in Indianapolis on August 20th before concluding in San Diego on October 11. The tour is set to make stops in cities like New York, Houston, Boston, Atlanta, Chicago, Tokyo, Vancouver, Seattle, Austin, Miami and more. Additionally, the tour will be supported by Kevin Abstract, Ravyn Lenae and Malcolm Todd at select shows.
