The Louis Erard x Alain Silberstein’s Smile-Day Watch Is Back
Now available in a new gray colorway.
Swiss independent watchmaker Louis Erard and architect-turned-watch-designer Alain Silberstein have again joined forces for a new Smile-Day time-teller.
Now arriving in a gray dial, the new iteration remains faithful to the playful aesthetics that previous collaborative pieces boasted. With the change in dial color, the indices and arrowed minute hand are also updated to a light blue. Meanwhile, the circled-hour hand and swirly seconds hand come in their signature primary colors.
Above the date display sits an oval window with a smiley face. As the week progresses, the window will shift to a new emoji, offering a fun and quirky way for day-tracking. These functions are powered by a Swiss-made Sellita SW220-1 automatic movement, which provides approximately 38 hours of power reserve.
Each example of the Louis Erard x Alain Silberstein Smile-Day watch is paired with a gray nylon strap. The piece retails for 4,000 CHF (around $4,446 USD) and is only produced in a run of 178 pieces, now shoppable through Louis Erard’s official website.
