The Kind of Blue Tourbillon Is the Newest Timepiece To Join De Bethune's DB28XP Collection
Releasing in a limited run of 20 pieces.
De Bethune has unveiled its newest take on the DB28XP model. Dubbed the DB28XP Kind of Blue Tourbillon, the timepiece is an alluring amalgamation of the watchmaker’s DB28XP reference as well as the DB28 Kind of Blue Tourbillon.
Presented in De Bethune’s distinctive silhouette, the 43mm-wide timepiece comes in a polished case crafted blued Grade 5 titanium. Measuring 9.1mm in thickness, the reference lives up to the watchmaker’s pursuit for ultra-thinness as materialized through the debut of the DB28XP model back in 2020.
In addition, the tourbillon cage located at 6 o’clock is the lightest-ever made for the watch Maison, weighing a mere 0.18 grams while rotating every half a minute. The time-teller is equipped with a 5-day power reserve through its in-house hand-winding mechanical movement: the DB2009V5 caliber.
What sets this apart from the DB28XP Kind of Blue Tourbillon Sapphire that was released last December is the bezel. The preceding model boasted a “Microlight” case middle that was set with baguette-cut sapphires, while this new rendition comes without it.
Releasing as a limited series of 20 examples, the DB28XP Kind of Blue Tourbillon is accompanied by a black alligator leather strap. To inquire about its availability and price point, head over to De Bethune’s official website for more information.
