Yesterday in Hong Kong, De Bethune unveiled its latest limited-edition timepiece, the DB28XP Kind of Blue Tourbillon Sapphire. The piece was presented by the Maison’s co-founder and master watchmaker, Denis Flageollet, who has been touring across Asia with a very special collection of De Bethune’s offerings.

Attired in De Bethune’s emblematic blued titanium, the DB28XP exhibits a captivating dial that encapsulates the technical and avant-garde essence of the brand. The embellishments and polished hour markers are crafted in Microlight, showcasing an interplay of light, shadow, and depth that accentuates the timepiece’s dynamic structure. The iconic triangular central bridge is garnished with micro-milled Milky Way patterns – another De Bethune classic – and is gilded with 24-carat gold leaf for a subtle, but alluring finish.

On the 6 o’clock position sits Maison’s ultra-light tourbillon cage. The 43mm time-teller runs on the in-house DB2009v5 mechanical and hand-wound movement, boasting up to 5 days of continuous running time thanks to its incorporated self-regulating twin barrel.

The DB28XP Kind of Blue Tourbillon Sapphire is offered in a limited production of 10 pieces. To inquire about its availability and price point, visit De Bethune’s official website for more information.
