Watch Netflix's Trailer for the Final Episodes of 'The Crown'

A trailer is out for the second part of The Crown’s sixth and final season ahead of its release on December 14. The final episodes of the historical drama series will serve as a tribute to Queen Elizabeth, who is portrayed by Imelda Staunton.
The first half of the season was set in 1997 as the monarchy witnesses the appointment of Prime Minister Tony Blair and grapples with the death of Princess Diana. The trailer previews a young Prince William (Rufus Kampa) clashing with his father, Prince Charles (Dominic West), following the fatal crash that claimed his mother’s life.
The new episodes will see the older William, played by Ed McVey, as he “tries to integrate back into life at Eton in the wake of his mother’s death as the monarchy has to ride the wave of public opinion.” It’ll also hone in on the early days of him meeting his future wife, Kate (Meg Bellamy).
Created by Peter Morgan, The Crown made its debut on Netflix in 2016. The four episodes that make up the first half of season six were released on November 16. The second half will deliver six more episodes, bringing the long-running show to a close.
