Very First RUF SCR Surfaces at Auction
One of only 70 total examples.
A rare 2022 RUF SCR, one of only 70 ever made, is set to go under the hammer via RM Sotheby’s, marking the first public sale of this highly exclusive model. Chassis number 02, the first production SCR following the prototype, is powered by a 4L, naturally aspirated, water-cooled flat-six engine, delivering an impressive 510 hp. The car, finished in an eye-catching Light Green with a bespoke brown deerskin interior, boasts fewer than 7,000 miles on the odometer and has had just one owner since new.
Renowned for their enhancements to Porsche bodies, RUF Automobiles took a step further with the SCR, creating an entirely unique platform. Unveiled at the 2018 Geneva International Motor Show, the SCR combines retro 911 styling with advanced carbon fiber construction and a state-of-the-art Mezger-derived engine. This lightweight marvel can accelerate to 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 200 mph.
The SCR’s design prioritizes a pure driving experience, featuring a six-speed manual transmission, carbon ceramic brakes and KW V5 coilover suspension. This combination has earned high praise for its engineering excellence, engaging handling and powerful performance.
This particular SCR stands out with its custom touches, including intricate embroidery on the headrests and painted brake calipers matching the exterior. Additional features include a variable exhaust system, front axle lifter and a spare set of matte black lightweight wheels.
At the time of writing, registration to bid on the RUF SCR is open, with the vehicle estimated to sell for as much as $1,718,648 by auction close.
