Bladee Serves Up a Music Video for "SAD MEAL"

A fitting visual for the grim Working On Dying-produced track.

After a relatively quiet 2023, Bladee has been treating his fans to a barrage of features, singles, music videos and albums too. After a decade of collaborations, he and Yung Lean presented their first album together, Psykos, which released by surprise in March. Bladee then went on to appear on two tracks of Varg²™’s Nordic Flora Series, Pt. 6: Outlaw Music before reuniting with the rest of Drain Gang on “TL;DR.” Later in April he dropped a music video named “PARANOIA INTRO #COLDVISIONS,” prompting much curiosity from fans about a possible album from the enigmatic artist. Their wishes then came true later that same day as the 30-track album Cold Visions hit the net. In the time since releasing Cold Visions, music videos for “RED CROSS,” “OTHERSIDE” and “FALSE” have all been shared — not to mention the seemingly-random release of a video for both “DRESDEN ER” and “URIEL OUTRO” off of his 2022 album Spiderr.

Now, he’s returned with a visual for the Working On Dying-produced (F1LTHY and 100yrd specifically) track “SAD MEAL.” Teaming up with director Hendrik Schneider once again, trippy cuts of Bladee rapping in the night complement his harsh delivery on the track. As is the case throughout Cold Visions, he’s sprinkled in a myriad of references to his past work with bars like “Heavy rain falling forever on an everlasting flame” and “In the rain world, money system seeing how to scam the scam” recounting his debut mixtape Gluee and scrapped project Rainworld. Elsewhere, he flexes “ZILLI shoes, these not New Balance,” asserting the quiet luxury nature of his kicks.
