The Hypegolf Invitational Kicks-Off With The Warmup at Topgolf
Welcoming over 400 guests to Topgolf El Segundo in Los Angeles.
The Hypegolf Invitational, now in its fourth year running, is a full-day activation born out of the notion that golf and creative pursuits can seamlessly intertwine. The people who resonate with this idea make the event what it is, allowing the community to grow year-after-year. However, up to this point, as the name suggests, the event has been invite-only. So to shake things up, this year we held a welcome event two days before the invitational at Topgolf El Segundo and allocated 75 spots to the public, first come, first served. Once RSVPs opened, the event sold out so quickly we decided to welcome another 300 people.
The Warmup kicked off Saturday night, as guests arrived at Topgolf El Segundo, a unique location in the brand’s portfolio in that it has a lit-up par-3 course in addition to its interactive driving range. Guests began breaking the ice with light conversation, enjoying signature cocktails from Cincoro and Johnnie Walker before making their way over to the hitting bays where Hypegolf took over the entire bottom floor of the 1,000 person capacity facility. While some opted for open play with friends, others participated in any number of Topgolf games such as Block Party, Angry Birds and more.

As mentioned though, what’s unique about Topgolf El Segundo is that the action isn’t confined to the covered hitting bays. Over in the outdoor patio section was a Hypegolf branded three hole mini golf course complete with brand new putters and glow in the dark golf balls. Adjacent to that was a DJ booth where Rhetorik, the longtime DJ for Logic, was curating tunes for the night. Meanwhile, back at the main driving range, jumbo screens displayed Hypegolf branding and played highlights from the US Open at Pinehurst. Multiple guests commented on the quality of the food as well, which included sliced brisket, baked mac and cheese and came fresh out of the Topgolf kitchen.
The Warmup at Topgolf was the perfect way to get the Hypegolf community ready for what’s to come on Monday, June 17, when our invitational will kick off 30 miles or so down the 405. Stay tuned on the Hypegolf Instagram account for all the live coverage.
