Universal Works Opens Its "Hotel Deluxe" Lookbook for the Summer
This season’s iteration of the UK-based brand’s “Hotel Deluxe” capsule showcases staycation-ready styles.
Universal Works is once again opening the doors to its “Hotel Deluxe” – what it describes as ” a microcosm of life with a revolving door of interesting characters, where everyone, from the concierge to the live-in countess, always looks their best.” For its Summer 2024 delivery, the Nottingham-based label is leaning into the styles of a “staycation” – serving up a slew of summer garments apt to follow you from Bridlington to the Bahamas.
In this season’s edition of “Hotel Deluxe,” Universal Works pivots from vacation to staycation, curating styles inspired by the local streets of its UK hometown.
With this sentiment in mind, Universal Works taps into an array of prints and patterns across the warm-weather range. Remaining true to its core, the menswear brand taps a tactile offering of textures as well, alternating between patchworked pieces, denim staples, loose-fitting linens and cotton classics.
As for the lookbook, Universal Works looked to envision both the locality and layer-ability of the latest collection, placing models next to a minimalistic-sketched camper to flex the foray. Jackets surface in earthy hues and in a variety of fabrics – one standout option features a subtle, all-over sun print with another stamped with a “Hotel Deluxe” graphic on the backside.
