Take a Look Inside Rudy Guénaire's SuperChina
Paris’ first Chinese self-service restaurant.

SuperChina, Paris’ first 100% home-made Chinese self-service restaurant, invites diners to relive the nostalgic flavors of their childhood. Conceived by Rudy Guénaire and brought to life by his agency, Nightflight, SuperChina blends traditional and modern Chinese aesthetics to create a unique dining experience. Inspired by the comforting memories of nems, ravioli, and noodles from family meals, the restaurant’s design features three portholes in heated display windows, evoking a sense of familiarity and warmth.
The interior design draws inspiration from Marc Riboud’s 1923 photograph of Da Sha La Street in Beijing, merging past and present with warm wooden accents and sleek, shiny surfaces that reflect the modernity of Chengdu. Rudy Guénaire’s vision integrates the sleek elements of contemporary China with its traditional heritage, creating a cozy yet contemporary atmosphere. Each design element is meticulously chosen to evoke nostalgia while celebrating China’s vibrant, evolving culture.
