Strong opinions — either positive or negative — are a key cultural currency in the footwear sphere. If a shoe doesn’t elicit some sort of visceral reaction, it’s bound to fall into the metaphorical sludge pit of the grossly overstuffed modern release calendar. What this says about the state of the sneaker game in 2024 is certainly up for interpretation, but one thing that’s for certain is that Nike‘s cult-classic Clogposite is one of those strong-feeling-eliciting models. It’s set to make a comeback this summer, and after “Chrome” and “Black” colorways surfaced earlier this month we’ve now been given a first look at a new “Light Orewood Brown” style.

Drawing its overall shape and style (save for the absence of anything resembling a heel, of course) from the Air Flightposite, the Clogposite features a molded upper with texture provided by debossed design lines, a Braille-like pattern on the midfoot shank and a stretchy neoprene-like throat. Branding is kept to a minimum, with a single small Swoosh displayed on the lateral forefoot and another on the insole’s heel. The “Light Orewood Brown” shade that gives the shoe its name is a faint earthy tone that’s almost pastel in nature, while “Cream” provides a slightly more airy accent.

Look for the Nike Clogposite “Light Orewood Brown” to touch down later this year. An exact date of arrival is pending, but you can expect it to be priced at $140 USD.
