Nike decided to treat sneakerheads to an exclusive preview of its upcoming releases via its new SNKRS Showcase event last October. With over 30 releases being revealed, including the return of many archival silhouettes, there was something in it for everyone. For the Air Force 1 Low, it was revealed to be rolling out in a new “World Tour” pack comprised of colorways based on Las Vegas, Seoul and Shanghai. While the “Las Vegas” pair was revealed at the start of the year and released shortly thereafter, we now have an official breakdown of its “Seoul” counterpart.

This unique take on the silhouette begins with a tumbled leather base at the upper that sports a dark green hue. From there, black adorns the overlays while a deep purple hits the reflective Swooshes and laces. A forest green joins in at the tongue and heel branding as the Air-backed sole unit supports the shoe in a semi-translucent light purple at the midsole and black at the outsole. Its thematic detailing comes courtesy of a star-shaped dubrae, an embroidered taegeuk symbol at the interior of the heel and an embroidered “1982” note at the tongue’s interior, possibly referencing the lifting of South Korea’s curfew that year.

At the time of writing, Nike has not yet shared when this “Seoul”-themed take on the Air Force 1 Low will be arriving on shelves. Stay tuned for updates as it’s likely to drop via Nike SNKRS and select retailers worldwide later this year at a starting price of $135 USD.
