Hypebeast Flea came to New York City for the first time last weekend, and the Big Apple showed up and showed out: 6,000+ attendees pulled up to Greenpoint Terminal Warehouse in Greenpoint, Brooklyn over the course of the two-day event. A celebration of New York City’s incomparable creative community, Hypebeast Flea New York featured more than 40 local vendors, with wares ranging from home goods and ceramics to clothing, cameras and food.
Experiential activations were a key piece of Hypebeast Flea New York as well, from live screen printing from apparel brand Extra Vitamins to an on-site convertible jeans station from the vintage purveyors at Leisure Centre and custom earplug fittings from Crystal Guardian. Food and beverages were provided by Mama Yoshi Mini Mart, Regina’s Grocery, Clover NYC and Toms Juice. Depop, the event’s title sponsor, showcased a half-dozen of its most notable NYC-based sellers, while Modelo saluted the New York City community with a “Humbly Me” design gallery that spotlighted the work of three Latin artists and Hulu’s Black Twitter: A People’s History provided a kick-back area complete with furniture from Lichen, NYC’s buzziest interior design shop, who also served as one of the event’s vendors.
