GOD SELECTION XXX Continues 11th Anniversary Celebrations with 'The Powerpuff Girls' T-Shirt Capsule
Mojo Jojo makes a brief cameo as well.
As part of its ongoing 11th anniversary celebrations, Yasunari “Nari” Miyazaki’s GOD SELECTION XXX has cooked up a wealth of collaborations, including a just-revealed effort with none other than The Powerpuff Girls. Though GOD SELECTION XXX has been known to work with streetwear heavy hitters like BAPE and fragment design, the brand also has a history of collaborating with familiar female cartoon characters: they created a capsule in partnership with Betty Boop earlier this year.
Succinct and direct, The Powerpuff Girls x GOD SELECTION XXX capsule is made up of two different T-shirt designs, each available in black and white. The first features Bubbles, Blossom and Buttercup striking a pose above a GOD SELECTION XXX ribbon logo on its chest, while the villainous Mojo Jojo flies above a text logo on the back. The second is slightly more subtle from a front-facing perspective, with a smaller graphic that shows all three Powerpuff Girls flying above an embroidered GOD SELECTION XXX logo on the left chest. However, it ramps up the intensity on the back with a full-sized (and full-colored) application of the show’s logo.
If you’re looking to get your hands on either of these tees, they’ll be available via the GOD SELECTION XXX webstore during a 48-hour window that starts at 12:00 AM JST on May 25 and closes at 11:59 PM JST May 27. A retail price has yet to be announced, and since the shirts are made to order they’ll take up to six weeks to ship.
