The much-anticipated expansion to 2022’s hit ARPG is set to arrive next month.
FromSoftware‘s ELDEN RING quickly established a reputation as one of the decade’s most important video game releases thus far with its hit release in 2022. Now, after a long wait from fans, its expansion — ELDEN RING Shadow of the Erdtree – is nearly here.
Hot off of the February release of its debut trailer, momentum continues to build with the DLC’s three-minute story trailer. Spotlighting the Land of Shadow, it again leans heavily on worldbuilding with the teasing of new enemies and landscapes to come.
The ELDEN RING Shadow of the Erdtree DLC is set to arrive for the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC via Steam on June 21. Pre-orders are available now with the base edition of the DLC priced at $40 USD, the premium bundle priced at $50 USD and the collector’s edition set at a $250 USD price point. Note that these prices do not include the cost of the ELDEN RING game, which is required to access the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC.
