The long-awaited expansion to the critically-acclaimed title ‘ELDEN RING’ is arriving this summer.
It’s been two years since FromSoftware shook up the gaming industry with the introduction of ELDEN RING. The game has been hailed as one of the best of the decade, with news of its expansion — ELDEN RING Shadow of the Erdtree — being shared just under a year ago.
Now, a first look at the much-anticipated DLC has been revealed alongside a release date for the project. The three-minute trailer sets the scene as players enter the Land of Shadow, a fresh world to explore that is filled with new bosses, weapons and armor. Its action-packed preview showcases all types of new creatures and grim landscapes.
ELDEN RING Shadow of the Erdtree officially launches for the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and on PC via Steam on June 21. Pre-orders are available now with the base edition of the DLC priced at $40 USD, the premium bundle arriving at a price of $50 USD and the collector’s edition costing $250 USD (note that these prices do not include the cost of the base game, which is required for play).
