Domenico Formichetti's PDF SS24 Footwear Emulate Space Shoes
From chunky skate-inspired shoes to comfort-focused slip-ons mules
PDF by Domenico Formichetti is dropping a new footwear collection for Spring/Summer 2024. Following the release of its sterling silver ring accessory, Domenico Formichetti gets dynamic and vibrant with PDF‘s latest drop.
The Italian designer takes inspiration from space shoes for its upcoming release. Taking on a dramatic, chunky and oversized aesthetic, Domenico conceptualizes everyday skate-inspired sneakers through his playful lens. Unconventional yet captivating, the shoes arrive in various materials like canvas and leather. With a puffed-up look, the shoes are reminiscent in silhouette to the shoes astronauts wear to space. Evidently oversized, most of the shoes sit atop a white sole while the upper features a vibrant neon pink, green and more. Others features a wave-like pattern, a nod to the different terrain of various planets from outer space. The galactic motif is consistent throughout the collection, evidently through the names of the products. Dropping in several stages, May 10 will see the arrival of the PLUTO CANVAS silhouette as well as the NUVOLA CANVAS. Others to follow are the MERCURY LEATHER, MARS LEATHER and URANUS CANVAS models. Besides chunky everyday shoes, the collection also takes on slip-on mules in an adjacent aesthetic to the sneakers.
