Albino & Preto Links up With Singaporean Artist Jahan for a Collaborative Capsule

California-based Jiu-Jitsu lifestyle brand Albino & Preto is back with another capsule, this time collaborating with Singaporean artist Jahan. Taking the latest collection to intergalactic heights, the collection takes on Jahan’s signature body of work and applies them to the brand’s range of martial arts-inspired workwear items.

Much of the collection refers to a blue and pink color scheme that comes from Jahan’s iconic style. Coming in two martial arts gis, Jahan’s iconic camo print adorns a 10 ounce canvas fabrication for one, while another has a more hybrid approach, utilizing 450 GSM Pearl Weave fabric accented with the custom camo fabric matched with 10 oz canvas bottoms adorned by Jahan’s iconography and artwork. Additionally, “Functional Gi Pants” featuring patch pocket double knee panels along with back pockets are included in the collaboration alongside the “Nogi set” which is a flex training rashguard and training shorts, graphic t-shirts and an oversized canvas bag, also featuring Johan’s signature cloud camo print in blue and pink tonal stitching.

Other details can be seen on the pieces via Jahan’s iconic spaceman character and signature. On the front chest and rear are the Chinese characters that make up the phrases “天上天下” and “唯我独尊.” They translate to “In Heaven, On Earth, I reign supreme.” While AP pieces often feature the brand’s maze pattern on the shoulders, the collaboration has instead featured the statement, “If the end is near…Let me destroy it!!!” conveying a sense of urgency and determination to overcoming adversity.
