Apple Rumored To Be Working on a "Significantly Thinner" iPhone
The more slender model is slated to replace the Plus by 2025.

Apple is already gearing up for a slew of new updates for next year. The Information recently reported that Apple is planning on coming out with a “significantly thinner” iPhone that is going to replace the Plus models.
Expected to be part of the iPhone 17 lineup, multiple sources have confirmed that the upcoming model has been compared to an iPhone X-level jump forward in offering a completely new design aesthetic for the iPhone. While no official design has been confirmed by Apple, the material used continue to be speculated, though aluminum chassis appears to be the favorite. The updated iPhone is rumored to see an upgraded front-facing camera that features the typical Face ID sensors in a smaller pill-shaped cutout. However, the rear camera is expected to move to the center of the phone, which is supposed to reduce the possibility of cover the lens with your fingers. The screen size is rumored to be somewhere between the current base iPhone and the iPhone Pro Max, coming between 6.12 and 6.69 inches.
The article suggests that prior to this phone, a line of iPhone 16 phones including an iPhone 16 Plus will still be available, but mark the end of the format. This year’s iPhones are expected to focus more on AI advancements and little physical change is expected to be seen. Features to expect from the new phone launching this year would include touch sensitivity and improved camera control. The slimmer iPhone is expected to be more expensive than the iPhone Pro Max, which is already at $1,200 USD. Stay tuned for more information.
