Playboi Carti's Homixide Gang Drops High-Octane Track "R50"
With an energetic music video directed by Decat.
Following on from March’s “HI-VOLTAGE,” Atlanta rap group Homixide Gang has returned with an all-new electrifying single, “R50.” The group, composed of Homixide Beno! and Homixide Meechie, has also served up an accompanying music video, directed by Decat.
On a guitar-heavy production, made possible by Cxdy, MW, UpMadeIt and Skipas, Homixide Gang looks to evoke a “visceral rock and roll experience.” On the chorus, the two rap, “Huh, huh, you can’t see me bitch, how I run it up/Hands up, got it stuck/Yeah, my n***** don’t give no f****/No one stand up out this shit/N****, don’t play around with this/We got zero tolerance.”
Homixide Gang, running under Playboi Carti’s Opium label, continues to shape their futuristic, genre-fusing sound on this latest effort. The group first landed on the scene in 2021 with their debut project Snotty Hill, which was later followed up by several full-length efforts, including Homixide Lifestyle (2022), Snot or Not (2023) and 5th Amndmnt (2023).
“R50” comes shortly after the duo finished off their sold-out run of five shoes in China at the end of April. Homixide Gang is now gearing up for a European tour, which is slated to kick off in early July.
