Monster Energy calls for fans to unleash their inner fantasy through the newest Zero Sugar Ultra flavor: Ultra Fantasy Ruby Red. Exclusive cans were designed for the launch of the new flavor in collaboration with world-renowned artist, Mark “Pinky” Taylor, who is informed by graffiti elements and often infuses his work with a sense of whimsy that echoes the new flavor’s imaginative ethos.

Continuing to bring the fantasy to life, Monster Ultra has now teamed up with multi-hyphenate artist John “Sunshine” Margaritis to create interactive DIY kits. Ten interactive DIY kits will be produced, each including a special-edition Monster Ultra x New York Sunshine t-shirt. The shirts will be set into vibrant Ruby Red colored concrete, within a wooden box. So recipients can break into the experience, each kit will also come equipped with a Monster Ultra x NYS hammer to break open the box, revealing custom iron-on transfer patches owners can use to unleash their creative fantasy.

As a part of Hypebeast’s How-To series, we got to peel back the curtain on New York Sunshine’s creative process. NYS also created custom Monster Ultra coasters using the same concrete setting process as the DIY kits. First, they cut the wood pieces for each coaster and mixed the vibrant “Ruby Red ” concrete, before setting it into each coaster and spray painting them with the Monster Energy logo. Embracing DIY culture, Margaritis’ Install Team brought this same creativity to each DIY kit.
