Jamie xx Drops New Club Track “Baddy On The Floor” Featuring Honey Dijon
The producer is planning to release his sophomore album this year.
Jamie xx hasn’t put out a solo project since 2015 when he dropped his debut album In Colour. Naturally, fans have been awaiting the next effort from the DJ and producer.
Nearly a decade later, Jamie has begun the rollout for his sophomore album, releasing a new song called “Baddy On The Floor” featuring electronic music mainstay, Honey Dijon.
“Baddy On The Floor” originally made its debut back in 2021 during Jamie’s live set at All Points East. The DJ and Dijon had begun working together on the song over the pandemic, creating it entirely over video calls. Dijon has previously appeared at The xx’s Night + Day festival in 2018 and Jamie’s own Warehouse Project in 2021, making a collaboration seemingly long overdue.
In tandem with releasing the single, Jamie appeared on BBC Radio 1, where he shared that he was wrapping up his second LP and that it’s expected to drop later this year.
