Admiral Sports Nods to '80s Football Fan Culture With "The Team Dressers" Collection

British sportswear label Admiral Sports is paying homage to ’80s football fan culture with a new collection titled “The Team Dressers.”

The line includes a bevy of updated takes on the brand’s archival silhouettes that were spotted off the pitch at the time. In a statement, the brand wrote, “As sportswear innovators, Admiral Sports led the charge in the rapid development of football clothing worn for non-sporting purposes, playing a large part in outfitting youth culture for the best part of the last 50 years.” Here, the brand celebrates that legacy with contemporary renovations on some of its most-loved styles.

Some of the standout silhouettes include track tops with “repeat tape” donning the brand’s iconography lining both arms, as well as the Harcourt hoodies, which house a raised chest logo with a heavyweight construction. The signature “repeat tape” frequently appears throughout the range, landing on the arms of Alton sweatshirts and Bardon T-shirts alike, while embroidered iterations of the label’s storied motif emblazon additional, archive-referencing top offerings.

Arriving ahead of the Euro 2024, the collection is done up in a range of classic football team colors, including those for West Ham to England and Coventry to Manchester United.
