A. Lange & Sӧhne Reveals a Duo of Datograph Limited Editions in Geneva
Marrying artisanal artistry with technical finesse.

Showcasing its latest timekeeping novelties at Watches & Wonders 2024, A. Lange & Sӧhne have presented two incredible new interpretations of the Datograph model. A flagship chronograph for the Glashütte-based watchmaker, the Datograph has received multiple watchmaking awards since its official unveiling 25 years ago. Continuing on the legacy of the Datograph, the two new iterations serve as testaments to A. Lange & Sӧhne’s commitment to artisanal artistry and pursuit of technical prowess.
Datograph Perpetual Tourbillon Honeygold “Lumen”
An encapsulation of A. Lange & Sӧhne’s watchmaking savoir-faire, it’s safe to say that this new Datograph Perpetual Tourbillon Honeygold “Lumen” is a horological beast that houses an impressive list of features. From a flyback chronograph, jumping minute counter, perpetual calendar to a tourbillon as well as a stop-seconds mechanism, this striking timepiece comes with a considerably readable dial design. Measuring 41.5mm in diameter and crafted from A. Lange & Sӧhne’s own 18k HONEYGOLD®, the warm glow of the watch case sophisticatedly complements its see-through and tinted sapphire crystal dial. One of this reference’s key and highlighted characteristics, is that the entire dial has been doused in a luminous coating.
Meanwhile, the tinted dial plate offers a faint glimpse into its intricate inner-workings. The exceptional L952.4 Manufacture caliber can be observed through the sapphire caseback, ticking at 18,000 semi-oscillations per hour. Despite its technical intricacies, the timepiece is fitted with a shock-resistant balance wheel, complete with 50 hours of power reserve. The Datograph Perpetual Tourbillon Honeygold “Lumen” has a price point of $620,000 USD and is limited to a production of only 50 numbered examples.
Datograph Up/Down
Joining the brand’s roster of Datograph Up/Down watches is this 18k white gold rendition sporting a classic blue dial and tonal alligator leather strap — a styling and color pairing that isn’t available in the current collection. In mirroring the cases’ sleek and polished glint, the two rhodié-hued subdials on the watch face twinkle with axial symmetry.
Powering the Datograph Up/Down is the in-house L951.6 movement, a 60-hour-power-reserve caliber equipped with a central flyback seconds chronograph, jumping minutes, outsize date display, power reserve indication in addition to the quintessential readings for time. Limited to 125 pieces, the timepiece’s price is available on request via A. Lange & Sӧhne.
