Satisfy Pays Homage to LA Running Culture in Short Film Starring Matt Lenehan
Soundtracked to The War on Drugs’ “Red Eyes.”
Parisian running brand Satisfy has headed to Los Angeles for a new short film celebrating the city’s running culture. Compared to the typical promotional video focusing on the technical specs of a given garment, “I Think I Saw You on My Run Today” seeks to capture the free-spirited ethos of the LA running community.
Matt Lenehan, a pro runner recently signed to Satisfy, stars in the film, wearing the new PeaceShell River Shirt, a collared shirt with flatlock seams and ice pockets on the upper back. While the garment is engineered for the trails, Lenehan sports it on a lengthy run throughout the streets of LA and along the beach.
Directed by filmmakers David & Douglas with creative direction from Satisfy founder Brice Partouche, the film is soundtracked to The War on Drugs’ 2014 single “Red Eyes.”
“We want our community to take a moment and watch, shut down their screens, and hit the road or trail,” Partouche says. “Like watching a skateboard video and then feeling the urge to grab your board. We want the film to bring out the spirit of Los Angeles and the true essence of running, inspiring people to get out there and experience it for themselves.”
