Netflix has finally unveiled the much-awaited teaser trailer for Parasyte: The Grey.

Based on the popular Parasyte manga by Hitoshi Iwaaki, the Netflix live-action series sets its premise in the same universe but follows a completely new set of characters in modern-day South Korea. The trailer begins with a speech made by a “parasite” representative, explaining to a group of his peers that they “have no choice by to parasitize human bodies to live.”

As the video intensifies, offering snippets of these parasitic creatures disrupting ordinary life and terrorizing humans, claiming that they “Look like humans,” “Think like humans,” and “Act like humans.” The plot focuses on Su-in (played by Jeon So-nee), a woman whose body has been infiltrated by a parasite but remains to have control over her mind and body. As the video teaser comes to an end, the viewer is given a glimpse of Su-in’s “mutant” form as she defends herself against another parasite.
