Chrono24’s Most Hyped Watches In February
Spotlighting the Tudor Royal 28600 alongside coveted references from OMEGA, Panerai, Grand Seiko and Bulgari.

In a new monthly series with Hypetime, Chrono24 will be providing background on some of the most coveted luxury watches in the pre-owned market based on real-time findings from its global marketplace. For context, that’s more than 35,000 professional and private sellers offering an assortment of over 560,000 luxury timepieces to 9 million monthly active customers worldwide. Chrono24 will be breaking down the hype for the most-of-the-moment sought-after watches, giving watch collectors all the info they need to plan their next (or first!) acquisition.
Every month, five models will be spotlighted by Chrono24’s in-house experts. The selection is based on monthly analytics, with each piece meeting all four criteria: 1) The watch must receive a critical mass of supply as well as demand, 2) There must be a significant percentage increase in inquiries and offers compared to the previous month as the reference period, 3) The search queries for the watch model must exceed a critical threshold defined from the data set, 4) The available listings per model must exceed a critical threshold defined from the data set.
Read on for the most hyped watches on Chrono24 in February.
Tudor Royal 28600
The Tudor Royal did not win over hearts immediately upon arrival, and yet its cool, sleek, vaguely retro-inspired look has quietly become a prized catch. As a sister brand to Rolex, Tudor collectors recognize bang for the buck and Chrono24 has seen steady demand with a sharp uptick that began in December – which makes sense as it is ultra-giftable – and continues its trajectory now into 2024. Taking not-so-subtle cues from the ultra-coveted Rolex Day-Date, this is one of the most solid choices for an entry-level-priced timepiece for the savvy.
OMEGA Speedmaster Triple Date 3523.80
A venerable Swiss Army knife of watches, the standard date is marked by a rotating hand on the dial, complementing the watch’s chronograph functions, day of the week, day of the month and 24-hour time measurements. Plus the sunburst dial has a penchant for catching the light just right – a nice reminder of the lunar legacy of its Speedy “Professional” brother. Chrono24 saw accelerated demand for this OMEGA model last summer – perhaps benefitted by OMEGA MoonSwatch collaboration with Swatch – and since the New Year demand has surpassed all of 2023.
Panerai Luminor Marina Logo PAM 00005
Legend has it that Rambo himself, Sylvester Stallone, spotted a Luminor in Rome in the mid-’90s and catapulted the brand once made for the Italian Royal Navy into the spotlight. It doesn’t hurt that other action aficionados like Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Statham, and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson are fans as well. In this case, bigger is better — the 44mm Panerai Marina Logo PAM 00005 is formidable but offers a sleek, luxurious feel. Purchase requests for this behemoth have been on a stark incline in 2024, already surpassing the previous year.
Grand Seiko SBGA407
The hype continues to build as the love for Grand Seiko runs deep among its collectors. In this case, it has doubled down on demand even since the start of 2024. The “Skyflake,” as it’s known in inner circles, continues to shine in stainless GMT glory as a counterpart to the more iconic Grand Seiko “Snowflake.” This timepiece takes its inspiration from the snow-covered mountains of Shinshu in Japan. The textured powder blue dial makes this watch – mesmerizing at a glance, while its finishing is signature to everything collectors love about the brand – laser sharp and expertly executed thanks to its Japanese precision for aesthetic excellence. The chatter about Grand Seiko in watch circles is relentless and for mostly good reason. Collectors are very clearly seeking out this favorite as is illustrated by the feverish surge in demand on Chrono24 over the past few weeks.
Bulgari Diagono Scuba SD 38 S
Refreshed and re-released in 2015, the Bulgari Diagono Scuba SC 38 S is an unironic blend of fashion and function — a tool watch that’s ready for a night out. This refresh boasts a 300m water resistance like the much higher priced Rolex Submariner, whereas vintage models achieved 200m water resistance. Chrono24 has seen elevated peaks of demand across the past 9 months, currently on a high. For those folks dubious about investing in a purely technical sports watch, the Diagono Scuba crosses over into quiet luxury and is an impressive addition to a collection.
