This week, the tech industry saw Mark Zuckerberg share his thoughts on the Apple Vision Pro – in a video recorded from Meta’s Quest 3. In other tech advancements, NVIDIA launched its very own AI chatbot app entitled Chat with RTX.

Elsewhere, Intuitive Machines geared up for the first-ever commercial moon landing and a judge ordered Elon Musk to testify in the SEC’s probe of Twitter/X.

Below, Hypebeast has rounded up the top tech stories of the week so you can stay up to date on trends in the industry.

NVIDIA’s AI Chatbot Dives Into Your Files To Answer Questions

NVIDIA rolled out its own generative AI demo app. Dubbed Chat with RTX, the platform allows users to customize their own LLM.

Per NVIDIA, users can “query a custom chatbot to quickly get contextually relevant answers.” Chat with RTX runs locally on a user’s PC – meaning it can comb through all of the documents, apps and files on the user’s computer.

The app’s only requirements? An operating system of Windows 11 or later and at least 16GB of storage.

Intuitive Machines Is Now Gearing Up for the First Commercial Moon Landing

On the heels of Astrobotic’s failed moon landing last month, Houston-based startup Intuitive Machines is readying to pull off the first commercial space landing.

Intuitive Machines’ IM-1 mission is slated to kick off this week, with the goal of carrying the Odysseus lander to the moon via SpaceX Falcon 9.

If all goes as planned, Intuitive Machines will make history as the first commercial space landing on the moon – and the first American soft landing since Apollo 17’s in 1972.

US Judge Orders Elon Musk To Testify in SEC’s Twitter Probe

Elon Musk has been ordered to testify as part of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s probe into his takeover of Twitter, now X, in 2022.

A U.S. judge upheld the December 2023 decision that ordered Musk to be interviewed as part of the probe. Musk had appealed the order at the time, claiming the SEC was harassing him.

Mark Zuckerberg Shares a Hands-On Review of the Apple Vision Pro

Mark Zuckerberg took to Instagram to give his hands-on review of the Apple Vision Pro headset. While Zuckerberg praised Apple’s eye-tracking technology and higher-resolution screen, Meta’s Quest 3 seems to have Zuck’s heart.

“I finally tried Apple’s Vision Pro,” Zuckerberg says in the Quest 3-recorded video. “And I have to say, before this, I expected that Quest would be the better value for most people since it’s really good and seven times less expensive but after using it, I don’t just think Quest is the better value. I think Quest is the better product period.”

He finds the Quest 3 headset to be more comfortable. It also boasts a brighter screen with a wider field of view as well as a larger content library.
