Mark Zuckerberg Shares a Hands-On Review of the Apple Vision Pro
To no one’s surprise, he prefers Meta’s Quest 3.

Mark Zuckerberg has gotten his hands on one of Apple’s Vision Pro headsets. The Meta CEO took to Instagram to share a hands-on review of the device, a video that he (ironically) recorded using a Quest 3.
“I finally tried Apple’s Vision Pro,” Zuckerberg says. “And I have to say, before this, I expected that Quest would be the better value for most people since it’s really good and seven times less expensive but after using it, I don’t just think Quest is the better value. I think Quest is the better product period.”
He notes that although Apple and Meta made different “design decisions” and that the headsets have different strengths, he thinks that Quest is better for the majority of uses. Zuckerberg points to his friend who is wearing a Quest 3 to record the video.
Zuckerberg points out that he finds the Quest 3 headset to be “a lot more comfortable.” He goes on to say that its screen is brighter and has a wider field of view. Quest’s content library is also larger than Apple’s, unsurprising given Meta’s headset line has been out since 2019. For those who want to use the YouTube and Xbox apps, however, the difference is major considering the Vision Pro lacks them.
The Meta CEO doesn’t dunk on Apple the entire video, nodding to its impressive eye-tracking technology and a higher resolution screen. It’s obvious that Zuckerberg would laud the Quest 3 over the Vision Pro but it’s interesting to see him actually break down the differences two devices from his perspective.
“It seems like there are a lot of people who just assumed that Vision Pro would be higher quality because it’s Apple and it costs $3,000 more, but honestly, I’m pretty surprised that Quest is so much better for the vast majority of things that people use these headsets for, with that price differential,” Zuckerberg says.
