The Hundreds x Dadu Shin Are Seeing Blue
Tapping the Brooklyn-based artist to curate the capsule.
Los Angeles imprint The Hundreds has enlisted Brooklyn-based artist Dadu Shin to infuse some of his blue-hued East Coast influence into the label’s latest collaborative capsule. The capsule includes a layer-able sweatshirt, graphic tee and snapback, all of which feature graphics of Shin’s signature, intricate ballpoint art.
Shin draws inspiration from the enigmatic world around us, tapping into the everyday interactions that shape our daily lives. For this limited-edition venture with The Hundreds, Shin created two distinct sketches: one of a somber woman shedding a tear and a second of a hand with 10 extended fingers. Each print is drenched in melancholic shades of blue.

“The world can be pretty, beautiful, and wholesome, but it’s also unsettling and weird,” Shin noted in an official statement. “I try to achieve an eeriness and melancholia in my work because it’s an acknowledgment and reminder that those feelings exist…and that it’s ok to feel that way.”
