Turkish-British designer Dilara Fındıkoğlu has just stolen London Fashion Week before it’s even ended, closing the third day of runway shows with a theatrical Fall/Winter 2024 showcase that rebels against male-built societies. Fındıkoğlu constantly toys with our emotions through immersive spectacles that leave viewers in awe, and this season was no different.

For the 40th anniversary of London Fashion Week, Fındıkoğlu placed women into power by opening a “school of life,” where the “Femme Vortex” reigns supreme. “I destroy the corporate man,” she told Hypebeast backstage after revealing 37 womenswear looks that manipulate latex, bondage, and athletic uniforms into feminine costumes. She brought us back to church in the most thrilling way possible, hosting a slow-motion rave that transcends conventional gender roles.

Technically-enhanced beats repeatedly screamed her name while models crawled across London’s Mark Street Church with sensuality. Office-worn blazers and shirts transformed into slitted skirts pinned together by paper clips, slung low to reveal sheer bodysuits overflowing with indulgence. Others were popped at the chest and secured with colossal belts, with models grasping freshly-printed newspapers that read, “Omg, Dilara is doing a Satanic orgy at a London church.” Elsewhere, corseted lingerie was frozen in time around the hips, paired with dainty tops and leather accessories that scream sex.

Fındıkoğlu never falls short in the creativity department, seeing her transform thigh-high boots into mock neck tops for FW24. Cone-shaped breasts were implanted into football scarves and jerseys decorated with the designer’s fresh team logo, heading to the field on her own terms. But one look undoubtedly stole the show: seeing Fındıkoğlu pluck away metal keys one by one and molding them into wigs, bralettes, and mini skirts that challenge the concept of modern working life.

Take a closer look at Dilara Fındıkoğlu’s FW24 collection in the gallery above, and stay tuned for more London Fashion Week content on Hypebeast.
