88rising Is Hosting a Moonrise Gala in Celebration of Lunar New Year
Honoring NIKI, Destin Daniel Cretton and more.
88rising has announced its inaugural Moonrise Gala, a new annual tradition for the pioneering Asian music collective. The event will honor some of the label’s own artists, alongside a curated dining menu and live musical performances.
Among those being honored are the Indonesian singer NIKI and the Filipino-American dance-pop artist Jocelyn Enriquez. The Moonrise Gala will also see the industry pay homage to the turntable artist Invisibl Skratch Piklz and the director of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Destin Daniel Cretton.
Set to take place at Los Angeles’ Milk Studios on Saturday, February 17, organizers also promise a level of production on par with a festival and exciting visuals complimenting the space throughout the evening.
Earlier this month, 88rising also announced the return of its annual Head In The Clouds Festival to New York. The event will be going down at the Forest Hills Stadium in Queens on Saturday, May 11 and Sunday, May 12. Joji, BIBI, Balming Tiger, Warren Hue and eyedress are among those performing at the fest.
