This Two-Story Tent From Bjarke Ingels and Nokken Takes Glamping to New Heights
Designed in partnership with the world renowned Bjarke Ingels Group, NKN Softshell offers a luxurious approach to eco-friendly hospitality.
The images above may look like a concept dreamed up on AI-powered image generators like Midjourney, but they show a real tent designed by hospitality company Nokken and the world-renowned Bjarke Ingels Group.
The NKN-Softshell is a two-story tent design geared to luxury camping sights, eco-resorts, and boutique hospitality accommodations. The 195 sqft softshell structure provides a solution that is both practical and design-forward for eco-conscious hospitality.
A durable wooden frame and base plate form the foundation for the canvas fabric which drapes over the multi-level structure in an elegant A-frame shape, reminiscent of traditional cabins. Starting at $22,500 USD, buyers can also upgrade with an additional cargo net, ladder and bedhead for convenience.
Even at its 5-digit price point, the design might be one of the most accessible pieces of Bjarke Ingels‘ designs. The Danish architecture firm is known for designing on a much larger scale, exemplified by projects like the forthcoming “Freedom Plaza” in NYC and its new waterfront Copenhagen HQ.
The NKN-Softshell, coming in the Summer of 2025, is available for pre-order now at the official Nokken website.
