After the excitement of the holiday season draws to a close and the January/February malaise sets in for sneaker lovers in the Northern Hemisphere (at least until NBA All-Star Weekend), thoughts tend to drift toward balmy spring days – and by association, spring sneakers. There’s no shortage of high-heat sneakers scheduled for the spring and summer of 2025, and Nike has now presented an appealing in-line option for the warmer days ahead: the classic Air Max 1 in a “Light Bone/Psychic Blue” colorway.

Earthy tones are the name of the game on the “Light Bone/Psychic Blue,” which applies its titular hue to suede overlays on the heel and midfoot as well as above the toebox. A “Sanddrift” mesh is used as a base layer, while a shade of khaki appears on the rich leather mudguard. Things aren’t entirely neutral here, however, as “Psychic Blue,” a cerulean hue that sits somewhere between cool waters and clear skies makes its presence felt strikingly on both the midfoot Swoosh and the heel’s signature exposed Air unit.
