Update: CLOT and adidas are back for another collaboration, this time teaming up to celebrate the Year of the Snake. In addition to the duo’s latest take on the Superstar, which we previewed previously below, an apparel range has been prepared as well. A track top, long sleeve tee, combat pants and socks all embrace the Lunar New Year with co-branding present throughout. Release begins on January 10 via JUICE with a wider drop via the retailer taking place on January 16.

Original Story: After unveiling the adidas Dress Superstar, CLOT continues to reimagine the silhouette with a new festive iteration. Dubbed “Lunar New Year,” the shoe prepares for the upcoming Lunar New Year in a simple palette, topped with adornments that pay homage to the festivity.

Sporting an all-black upper composed of a luxurious blend of leather, suede and silky textile, the tongue and quarters subtly implement co-branding into its Chinese-style pattern. Alternating in between the croc-finished Three Stripes are rows of stars in golden embroidery. This decorative detail is also spotted at the back of the heel collar, which ties into gold-tone ornaments on the tongue and laces. Hanging on each shoe’s shoelace is an ornamental charm, coming in the form of a gold-tone Chinese coin with red tassels.
The CLOT x adidas Superstar “Lunar New Year” is complete with black ripple outsoles that are synonymous with their previous Superstar iterations.
