Universal Works' "Happy Accidents" Collection Is Packed With Self-Expression
With a new Crazy Leopard fabric standing as a key highlight in the collection.
Nottingham-based label Universal Works has just presented a new collection titled “Happy Accidents,” coming as part of the imprint’s “Hotel Deluxe” campaign, where UW takes inspiration from a ’60s-inspired lodge, somewhere in upstate New York.
The campaign is inspired by photographer Phillipe Halsman, where his high-profile subject jumped for one final frame at the end of their serious sitting. Each shot leads to a totally candid view of the “subject’s true self.” This notion of capturing “happy accidents” is encapsulated in the styles that lead the new campaign, with a new Crazy Leopard fabric standing as a key highlight in the collection.
Meanwhile, the drop is packed with a slew of different styles, featuring mid-century patterns and unexpected trims. Fleeces, tweeds, jumbo cords, and winter twills take up the rest of the capsule, with each understated silhouette designed to be mixed and matched with the other.
