Dive into the weekend with these music projects.
As the week in music comes to a close, Hypebeast has rounded up the best projects for the latest installment of Best New Tracks.
This week’s lineup is led by MF DOOM, Freddie Gibbs and idk, who each released the visual for “Vomitspit” and the albums You Only Die 1nce and BRAVADO INTiMO. Also joining this selection are offerings from Westside Gunn, Lola Young with Lil Yachty, midwxst, Yeat with Quavo, Balming Tiger and Roy Woods.
MF DOOM – “Vomitspit”
A music video for “Vomitspit” has been released in celebration of the DOOMSDAY 2024, the anniversary of MF DOOM’s death. The visual is directed, animated and composed by Saber, and sees an animated version of the late Supervillain (as well his alter egos like King Geedorah) cooking up something good. It also pays homage to DOOM’s legacy with a little tribute to Zev Love X, the name the late artist first performed under as part of KMD, and Madlib’s Quasimoto side project.
