Watch The First Trailer For Steven Soderbergh’s POV Horror Film 'Presence'
The upcoming film stars Lucy Liu, Chris Sullivan, Callina Liang, Eddy Maday and Julia Fox.
Neon has debuted the first trailer for Steven Soderbergh‘s upcoming horror film, Presence.
The supernatural title is shot from the perspective of the entity which haunts a suburban family who just moved into a new home. Its new trailer is undeniably eerie as audiences are forced to see the family at their most vulnerable moments, and they are evidently aware of the haunting that’s taking place.
Lucy Liu, Chris Sullivan, Callina Liang, Eddy Maday and Julia Fox lead the cast, while Julie M. Anderson and Ken Meyers serve as producers. David Koepp also reunites with the filmmaker as the writer following Kimi.
The film made its premiere at Sundance 2024 to rave reviews before getting picked up by Neon for $5 million USD.
“I wanted to find a different way to tell the story,” Soderbergh previously told Variety. “Everything is revealed through the glimpses of this family that this presence sees. And the whole ghost genre element is a Trojan horse to show a group of people in danger of falling apart.”
