Take a Look Inside Lemaire's First Tokyo Flagship Store
Nestled in the neighborhood of Ebisu.
Lemaire has expanded to Japan, opening its first flagship store in Tokyo. Nestled in a former 1960s private residence that features an adjacent zen garden, the French label takes over the 170-square-meter space for its boutique. Located in the Ebisu neighborhood of Shibuya, the renovated Japanese home is now the third flagship store for the brand, following its Paris and Seoul counterparts.
Lemaire visionaries Christophe Lemaire and Sarah-Linh Tran shared why they chose the location, “We chose this house to underscore the natural connection between our collections and a domestic atmosphere. Our pieces are crafted for everyday living and designed with the allegory of a perfectly proportioned home as a protective shelter in mind.” Creating a tranquil space in the middle of the hustling and bustling city of Tokyo, Lemaire invites fans into their home.
The two-story building is covered in traditional Japanese plaster while Sudare bamboo blinds harmoniously exist with Lemaire’s signature fixtures. The living room features the Freud couch, three vintage kilim rugs, handwoven wadded panels or abac mats that cover the first floor. Those in the area can now visit the Japanese flagship store in Ebisu, Tokyo.
