Bentley Reveals "Beyond100+ Strategy" for New Luxury Urban SUV
Essentially moving its plans to go fully electric from 2030 to 2035.
Bentley has announced an extension of its Beyond100 strategy to 2035, now branded as Beyond100+. This shift aims to reaffirm the brand’s commitment to luxury and sustainability in the automotive industry, with the highlight being the debut of its new Luxury Urban SUV, slated for 2026. This model, Bentley’s inaugural fully electric vehicle (BEV), aims to establish a new segment.
Notably, Bentley plans to introduce a new hybrid (PHEV) or electric model each year until 2035. This initiative reflects Bentley’s ongoing transformation toward a fully electric lineup by 2035, extending the lifecycle of PHEV models and gradually phasing out combustion engines, including the iconic W12 engine.
The Beyond100+ strategy is backed by continued investment in its Crewe-based “Dream Factory.” This next-generation facility is set to feature a cutting-edge Design Centre, Paint Shop and BEV assembly line, embodying Bentley’s vision of digital, flexible and high-value manufacturing for an electrified future.
Chairman and CEO Dr. Frank-Steffen Walliser emphasized Bentley’s commitment to a decarbonized future, noting, “Beyond100+ becomes our guiding light as we extend our ambitions beyond 2030, while reinforcing our credentials as the British creator of extraordinary cars for over a century and beyond.”
