Christopher Nolan Sets Next Movie at Universal That Is Expected to Star Matt Damon
With plans for an IMAX release in 2026.
Christopher Nolan has reportedly set his next film and it is arriving in Summer 2026.
According to Deadline, Nolan is returning to Universal, the studio that helped him win the Oppenheimer Oscars, with a new film for IMAX next summer. Matt Damon is slated to be in the talks to star, though it has not been confirmed just yet. Plot details have been kept under wraps, but sources have said that the film is expected to shoot in early 2025 for the July release date.
If Damon were to work with Nolan again, this would mark the third time the duo has partnered together on a project. Damon appeared in 2014 hit Interstellar before Oppenheimer and would join the likes of Cillian Murphy and Christian Bale who have also worked with the prolific filmmaker three times. With Matt Damon expected to sign on, the project is sure to attract other A-listers to the film. As of this moment the film is set for a IMAX release on July 17, 2026
