The Golden Vines Auction Offers World-Class Wine-Tasting Experiences

Sotheby’s Golden Vines Online Auction, known for its unique offering of best-in-class wine, has returned for another year.

The online event is put in place to offer an exclusive collection of large formats (magnums, jeroboams, and upwards) from the cellars of some of the world’s best wine estates. Each estate included in the auction offers everything, from large bottles of Grands Vins to unique experiences, such as private tours, tastings, and exquisite fine wine lunches or dinners.

A rare collection of Jeroboams from Colgin Cellars — that come with a private tour of the vineyards for up to six people — will be available, coming alongside a multi-course, fine wine dinner. Meanwhile, an overnight stay for two at the La Folie de Vougeot Estate, which comes with a wine-tasting and exclusive dining experience is also up for grabs. The invitation-only, overnight stay in the heart of the Clos Vougeot Grand Cru vineyard at the La Folie de Vougeot also offers wine tasting for six guests featuring the historical vintages and producers of the Clos de Vougeot.

As a whole, the 2024 Golden Vines Online Auction features over 100 lots and aims to surpass £1 million GBP in funds raised for the Gérard Basset Foundation. These proceeds will support a variety of diversity-focused educational initiatives in fine wine, rare spirits, and hospitality.
