Robosen Returns With Another $600 USD Robotic Buzz Lightyear Figure
Pixar’s beloved space ranger features lifelike expressions, unique programming, voice interaction and more.
The robotics experts over at Robosen are back with a new project involving Disney and Pixar, bringing Toy Story‘s Buzz Lightyear to life as a robotic figure. Previously, the trio assembled for a robotic version of Buzz based on the Lightyear movie in 2022 and have taken things to infinity and beyond, as the Toy Story-based Buzz has been developed over the past three years.
Looking closer at the robot, it features ample functionality, starting with the eyes and mouth which are moveable. His right hand sports his light-up laser and cues the accompanying sound it makes, making it one of over 200 authentic Disney audio clips included. As for his left arm, you can open and close his wrist communicator to access Star Command mission logs with pre-built actions. Buzz’s jetpack wings can extend and retract, prompting flashing green and red lights. Fans may remember “Spanish Buzz” from Toy Story 3, which can be prompted by pressing his green chest button. The blue one goes into “Demo Mode” and the red one summons his “Inner Voice.” For further customization, each figure comes with an extra footplate to write your name on, as well as interchangeable hands for posing. Its technical features also include voice and app control modes alongside programming available via phone app or web-based app.
For those looking to pick up Robosen’s new Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Robotic Action Figure, it is available for pre-order via Disney at a price of $599 USD. At the time of writing, the figure is scheduled to become available on November 11.
